Raindrops are not tear-shaped. Not really.
In reality, raindrops are more spherical in shape, as they are formed by water droplets that collect on dust particles in the atmosphere and then grow in size as they collide with other water droplets. They may slightly deform as they fall, but they never reach a point where they are truly teardrop-shaped, as is ingrained in our minds. It’s a humorous reminder that not everything is always as it seems and that our assumptions can sometimes lead us astray.
P.S. I drew the droplet shape myself to avoid plagiarizing some graphic artist. I bet you noticed that.
